Welcome to STEM
2015-2016
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to back to school! I am super excited for you to join me this up coming year. I hope you have had a wonderful and exciting summer with your family. I am excited to begin another year that promises to be filled with exciting experiences and great achievements.
This is my first year in the STEM Lab and I am excited to say the least! The STEM lab is going to be noisy place, where multiple right answers abound, a place where failure is regarded as a positive step toward discovery and a successful solution. Kids will work closely together, using hands-on methods to solve real-world problems. Students will be encouraged to become creative, innovative, critical thinkers. This is bound to a class they won't soon forget!
Sincerely,
Monica Deaver

• We want our students to be better prepared in math and science.
• We want our students to be able to inquire, think, investigate, and innovate.
• We want our students to learn to work productively in teams.
